The route is plotted even when the point of departure and the end point are in the territories of different countries.

Features
The maps are available in four versions: schematics, satellite images, satellite images with captions and symbols (hybrid), and People's map. The set of features for working with maps is quite extensive, but in the fullest scope is available only for a limited number of cities.

For a number of cities is available service "Yandex Traffic Jams": an indicator of road congestion. The level of congestion is determined by a ten-point digital scale and a four-color graphic, the information is collected from traffic cameras. Readings of this service can be taken into account in the automatic routing.
It is possible to view real-time images from webcams installed, as a rule, along major highways and near interchanges.
On November 8, 2016, the joint project of Yandex Maps and Toyota "Everest Panoramas" was presented - a multimedia report on the ascent of Dzhomolungma (Everest) with panoramic photos of the stages of the ascent, sound accompaniment and elements of interactive three-dimensional graphics. The project is made with the use of browser technology display 3D graphics WebGL, implemented by the engine Blend4Web.
Despite the fact that the interface of the service is translated into 5 languages, to leave feedback on the objects is allowed only in Russian.
