William Ackerman

William Ackerman is an American musician, born on November 16, 1949 in Palo Alto, California. He is a founder of Windham Hill Records and has had a notable career in the music industry. Ackerman is best known for his work as a guitarist, composer, and jazz guitarist. Additionally, he has worked as a film producer and musician in various genres including folk music and new-age music. Ackerman was educated at Northfield Mount Hermon School and has received awards such as the Grammy Award for Best New Age Album.
