Taho is a community owned and operated Web3 wallet. The focus of the developers of the wallet is to offer a sustainable wallet owned by the community, to combat the trend of closed-source software wallets with high fee structures. It is build to work anywhere MetaMask wallet works, while also integrating with Yearn and other aggregators to make passive yield as simple as a traditional savings account. The fees generated by the wallet are intended to go back to users, to help develop a robust community.
The first release of Taho is the Community Edition, which supports everything a user expects from a Web3 wallet on Ethereum. The product is expected to continue to develop to support more networks like Arbitrum, Optimism, and Polygon. The community edition is also working to estimate gas costs more accurately than other Web3 wallets and to track portfolios with token discovery. Other features include the following:
- Connecting to dApps: this allows users to connect the Taho wallet to any dApps a user uses, and to connect a dApp that may not already have been connected with the Taho wallet
- Account Switcher: this allows users to see which wallet they are currently using, to switch accounts, see respective balances, and add additional wallets
- Wallet View: this allows users to see information about the current address they have been selected and to access the total account balance, as well as the activity feed to see the history of associated with an account
- Signed transactions: this allows users to upgrade their wallet by importing a seed recovery phrase and then allow users to perform actions that require key material to sign transactions
