Taboola is a New York City-based digital ad company that runs a content recommendation platform, and is primarily known for "chumbox" ads. It was founded in 2007 by Adam Singolda. Companies advertise through Taboola and pay the company once viewers click a link. Taboola then pays a portion of that revenue to the publishers that hosts the link. Publishers include USA Today, The Weather Channel, NBC, MSN, Business Insider, Bloomberg, CBS News, and Fox News.
