stuMagz was founded in 2015 by Sri Charan Lakkaraju and Frederick Devarampati and has nearly 300 colleges subscribed to its free model. The company was founded after Sri Charan Lakkaraju realized that affiliated colleges in Tier-II and Tier-III cities lacked opportunities and had little exposure for students, following which he came up with an idea for a digital platform that would connect these students and colleges to the rest of the world.
It offers a variety of solutions to connect brands with colleges and students, including an alumni network, options for faculty to manage classrooms and send out information to students at short notice while also facilitating ease of fee payments for students.
stuMagz was seed funded in 2016 at the TiE-ISB Connect 2016 followed by angel investment from US-based investors in 2018.
