Artificial Intelligence company using Augmented Reality for collaborative professional services

Streem is a Portland based Artificial Intelligence company that specializes making home services convenient with augmented reality collaboration. The company builds smartphone applications powered with computer vision, machine learning, and augmented reality technology. The app is used to extract information to help service professionals inspect the problem, find relevant information, and consider solution strategies without personal inspection visits. Streem offers its service in select destinations where the company has collaborations with service professional in the United States.

Product

Streem has two apps in active development; for the customers and service professionals. Streem charges a subscription fee to home service professionals to collaborate with their customers. As of February 2019, both apps are available for iOS and Android platform.

The customer app connects the user with a service professional through interactive video streaming. The app streams one-way HD video to the professional for visual analysis of the problem. The user guides the camera allowing the professional to inspect the problem and provide relevant information to describe the problem. The user then waits for a quote to be sent after the service professional analyzes the information collected through the app.

A professional variation of the app can send an invitation to their customer to connect through the app. The app is equipped with a digital toolbox to identify objects, text, and bar-codes through video analysis. The service professional and the customer collaborate to analyze the problem appliance or a scenario. While the customer is streaming video, the app takes measurements, recognize product bar-codes, logos, manufacturers, dimensions and allows the professional to take notes. The professional variation of the app is interactive which lets user send visual markers and pointers to direct client for closer inspection of elements seen through the camera. After the video evaluation is complete, the service professional can analyze the video and notes to quote the customer directly from the app.
