Spearhead (organization)

Spearhead backs founders with a $200K fund to start angel investing. Founders also receive mentorship, including monthly masterclasses from top investors. As they progress, founders receive up to $1M to invest.

Spearhead is not a scout program; it is focused on discovering and mentoring angel investors. Scout programs, in contrast, are focused on generating downstream dealflow for venture firms.

Spearhead is not proprietary to a single venture firm. When founders join Spearhead they get a fund that they control. They are also able to invite other investors (including other firms) to invest in their fund.

Founders have control over the fund and authority over investments. They earn 15% carried interest on the fund, which means they get to keep 15% of the fund’s profit. For example, if a founder turns $200K into $2.5M, they earn $345K.
