Company attributes
SHAREBOX is a technology company founded in 2015 specializing in virtual reality (VR) and mixed reality (MR) content. Their team is developing new technologies through close networks with partner companies, such as Seoul Business Agency, Gyeonggi Content Agency, and Microsoft.
The company is made up of four core teams:
- Performance Business Department—directs and plans the production process
- Strategic Business Department—creates the storylines and presents strategies for new content
- Content Production Department—combines R&D and programming
- Multimedia Development Department—devises research solutions for showcasing content
Users can experience the virtual world by creating an avatar. Users can then engage in activities without physical restrictions through virtually-created spaces. The company's technology is designed to allow users to remove spatial and temporal limitations with limited movement, reducing nausea and allowing for longer viewing times.
SHAREBOX has developed mixed reality (MR) educational content related to teaching astronomy. Lessons are taught through characters Lingti & Luki, and they discuss topics such as space, the stars, and planets. Twenty-two episodes are ten-to-fifteen minutes in length and are available in Korean and English and with Indonesian subtitles. The videos are available on head-mounted display (HMD) devices and multiple platforms, like PCs and tablets.
