Rubique was founded in 2014 as an online matchmaking platform for loan and cards by Manav Jeet Singh. The company was originally called Bestdealfinance.com and rebranded itself the new name in December 2015 after it raised $3 million (Rs 20 crore) in venture funding during its Series A round of financing. Subsequently, it secured another $3 million in bridge funding in June 2017. The company raised about $10 million from Recruit Group and Emery Capital in April 2018.The company provides service for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and individuals in two major segments. It initially started in Mumbai, Maharastra and expanded its operation in Delhi, Kolkata, Pune, Bangalore, Chennai, Hyderabad and Jaipur.

Rubique claims to have 100 financial institutions as partners. Its lending network includes firms such as HDFC Bank, ICICI Bank and Axis Bank, as well as non-banking financial companies such as Aditya Birla Housing Finance and Bajaj Finserv.

As of 2017, the company has facilitated loan disbursements of nearly Rs 3,000 crore and more than 100,00 credit card approvals, and has served around 100,000 customers.

In February 2018, Rubique launched prepaid card in partnership with MatchMove India for its business partners network.

In 2015, Rubique received Dataquest Awards for Mobility & Enterprise solution.

In 2017, the company won the Benzinga Global Fintech Awards in the category of Best Lending Platform, Tool or App. In that year, Rubique was named among India’s top 10 fastest growing fintech companies by IDC Financial Insights. It has been also featured in Lattice80’s top 50 Fintech companies in India in 2018.

In 2018, Rubique became the winner of The Asian Banker "Beijing Financial Innovation Showcase and Competition".
