Robert Altman was born on February 20, 1925, in Kansas City, Missouri, United States. He pursued a career as a film director, screenwriter, film producer, writer, and theatre director. Altman was educated at Rockhurst High School, Wentworth Military Academy and College, and Southwest Early College Campus.
Some of Altman's notable work includes directing films such as "Dr. T and the Women", and "Gosford Park". He also directed episodes of the television series "Alfred Hitchcock Presents". Robert Reed Altman is one of his children. Robert Altman passed away on November 20, 2006, in Los Angeles.
