Pleo is a Copenhagen-based startup that offers company credit cards and automated expense reports for businesses. The company was co-founded in 2015 by Jeppe Rindom and Niccolo Perra, both formerly of cloud-based business network Tradeshift. Pleo allows companies to issue "smart" digital or physical company credit cards to their employees, while letting them keep track of expenses via the company's smartphone app and automated expense report tools. Physical Pleo cards are issued by Mastercard, while digital ones are used to make online purchases and are compatible with ApplePay and Google Pay.
Pleo has participated in a total of 6 funding rounds, the most recent being a $150 million series C round in July 2021 led by Bain Capital Ventures and Thrive Capital.
