PK4 Media is an advertising and technology company offering omni-channel media. Controlled through proprietary technology platform, PK4 Media is able to serve, monitor and report on display and video creative across digital distribution channels, including desktop, mobile, tablet, CTV, VOD, In-Mall, In-Theater, and DOOH. PK4 Media's clients include companies such as ABC, Activision, Amazon, Bacardi, Esurance, Ford, Lionsgate, Microsoft, and Proctor & Gamble.
PK4 Media was founded in late 2009 by Tom Alexander. The company began as a display advertising network built through direct relationships with publishers. With the rise of video advertising, PK4 Media acquired technology company JSFOUR, which brought in a proprietary, ad-supported video content infrastructure which became the basis for the Bishop Video Platform. In November 2013, the company announced the availability of XPS, a proprietary cross-platform technology solution that deploys display and video creative across online, mobile and tablet distribution platforms. About a year later in November 2014, the company acquired Prosperio, a developer of direct platforms for display and video ads.
Besides its headquarters in Los Angeles, PK4 Media maintains offices in Detroit, New York and San Francisco.
XPS is PK4 Media's proprietary cross-platform technology they use to control all aspects of a digital advertising campaign. XPS is built using a mixture of Ruby on Rails, Node.js and Ember.js running on Amazon Web Services with Docker containers to manage deployments.
TruEngage is PKF Media's other technological platform which offers customizable technology to create interactive overlay on top of video pre-roll. TruEngage allows an average of 6 seconds of user engagement.
