OLVG

OLVG is an Amsterdam-based hospital offering multiple services to patients. It was created as a merger between Saint Lucas Andreas Hospital and the Onze Lieve Vrouwe Gasthuis. Services offered include surgery, check-ups, and medical specialists.Research and training for medical professionals are also conducted at OLVG and there are also vacancy and internship opportunities available.

In 2020, OLVG partnered with Luscii to create a healthcare mobile application to monitor COVID-19 cases and streamline the process of seeking medical attention for those who may have the virus. The app is called 'OLVG corona check' and is offered in restricted ZIP codes in the Netherlands. It works with both Android and iOS systems on smartphones and tablets.

Users can register for the app via OLVG's website and if they meet the criteria, they can download the app. It asks daily questions about the users health using some additional tools, such as a thermometer, and is analyzed by a medical team. If the user should need medical attention, they are sent an alert and can follow instructions from there.
