Nikolai Tikhonov (writer)

Nikolai Tikhonov (1896-1979) was a writer, poet, politician, and translator from the Russian Empire and later the Soviet Union. Born in Saint Petersburg, he was originally named Nikolay Semenovich Tikhonov and focused on prose, poetry, and journalism compositions.

Tikhonov's work earned him multiple accolades, including the Stalin Prize, Lenin Prize, Hero of Socialist Labor, Order of Lenin, Order of the October Revolution, Order of the Red Banner, Order of the Patriotic War 1st class, and Order of the Red Banner of Labour.

He passed away in Moscow on February 8, 1979.
