Nikolai Patrushev (birth_name: Nikolai Platonovich Patrushev) was born on July 11, 1951, in Saint Petersburg. He is an engineer and a politician holding citizenship in the Soviet Union and Russia. Patrushev is an alumnus of St. Petersburg State Marine Technical University.
Throughout his career, Patrushev has received a number of awards, including being named a Hero of the Russian Federation and receiving the Order "For Merit to the Fatherland". He has also been awarded the Order "For Merit to the Fatherland," 2nd class, 3rd class, and 4th class, as well as the Order of Honor, the Order of Alexander Nevsky, the Order of Courage, and the State Prize of the Russian Federation. Additionally, Patrushev has received the Order of Military Merit and the Medal "In memory of the 850th anniversary of Moscow".
