Montserrat Football Association is a Montserrat-based soccer club that is part of the Confederation of North, Central America and Caribbean Association Football (Concacaf), which is one of six continental confederations under FIFA. The team was founded in 1994 and has played a total of ten games in various World Cups. The home turf for the team is Blakes Estate Stadium, near the village of Look Out. It is rare for the Montserrat Football Association to have home games due to the volcanic activity that takes place on the island. The Soufriere Hills volcano erupted in 1997 and is still an active volcano, making it difficult to schedule games or competitions. Most of the team's games are played at stadiums not located on the island.
There are more than fifteen players on the team, and they are nicknamed "The Emerald Boys" because of the green shirts they wear as a part of their uniform. The team has been coached by Willie Donachie since 2018. In 2021, the team won two of the five games it played, and as of June 2022, the team won one game out of the three.
