Moment (photography)

Moment is a company that offers mobile application, equipment, and travel destinations for photographic purposes. Moment was founded by Marc Barros and Michael Thomas in 2013. The company aims to develop products that can make mobile cameras perform better. Moment is based in Seattle, Washington.

The company offers several products and services, all pertaining to the field of photography. Moment’s mobile application – called Moment Pro Camera – is available in both in iOS and Android. Moment Pro Camera gives users the ability to edit photos and videos through manually calibrating their phone cameras. Moment also provides a number of photography equipment selections through their Moment Gear shop, such as camera lenses, camera filters, and phone cases. Lastly, Moment also manages a travel service that is focused on offering photographic experiences and pictorial destinations for their customers

Since 2014, Moment has managed to raise a total capital of $6.3 million through three funding rounds, with its most recent, a venture round in May 2016. This round accumulated $3 million in funding. Past investors who have provided financing to Moment include Founders’ Co-op, Lux Capital, Maveron, and Vayner/RSE.
