Meldium was founded in 2012 and participated in the YC W13 cohort of Y Combinator. It raised an estimated $1,000,000 from investors that included Draper Associates & Founders Co-op.
On September 4, 2014, Meldium was acquired by LogMeIn, Inc for an estimated price of $15,000,000.
On May 3, 2017, LogMeIn announced plans to retire Meldium.
