Landa Labs operates as a science innovation and incubation center, developing technologies to the proof-of-concept phase and then spinning them out as independent businesses.
Landa Labs has thus far spun out several of its businesses, including Landa Digital Printing which offers Nanographic Printing® Presses to the packaging, commercial printing and publishing markets. Unveiled in 2012, the Nanography® technology holds the promise of high speed, high quality, large format digital printing at the lowest cost per page in the digital printing industry. The Nanography® technology employs Landa NanoInk® colorants, which are water-based and eco-friendly, produce images that are half the thickness of conventional printing inks, yet offer a much broader color gamut. In June, 2014, Landa was joined by ALTANA, a privately held, global specialty chemical group based in Germany, which made an equity investment of €100M in Landa Digital Printing.
