Argentine composer
Lalo Schifrin (born June 21, 1932) is an Argentine-American composer, pianist, and musician. He was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina and holds dual citizenship in Argentina and the United States. Schifrin is best known for his work in the music industry, where he has explored genres such as funk, jazz, rock music, bebop, bossa nova, and classical music.
Schifrin received his education at Colegio Nacional de Buenos Aires. Throughout his career, he has also taken on additional roles as a music arranger. He has been the recipient of the Grammy Award for Best Score Soundtrack for Visual Media. Schifrin sometimes uses the pseudonym "Lalo Shifrin".
