Jafco Ventures

Jafco Ventures, now known as Icon Ventures, is a specialty venture capital firm in California that invests in seed, early stage and late stage ventures. Founded in 2003 by Joe Horowitz in Palo Alto, California, it specifically provides Series B or C financings.

Initially, its capital was funded by JAFCO, a Japanese investment fund. The company rebranded as Icon Ventures in January 2015. As of 2018, the firm manages a fund of $375M. Its portfolio companies include FireEye, Palo Alto Networks, Aster Data, and Proofpoint. As of January 2019, its most recent investments were Timescale, Datrium, Rylo, Quizlet and Opcity.
