Hirschengraben Coworking + Innovation is a co-working and community space in Lucerne, Switzerland. The space was founded in 2018 in order to provide a place for entrepreneurs, creatives, SME owners, startup founders, coaches, project managers, artists, and programmers to work and create. This is intended to create synergies between economy, education, and society and offer a place where people can meet each other and develop ideas to help the local and larger communities.
The co-working space is intended to provide a space for self-employed people, creatives, and small startups to work in the same place. This includes unlimited access to other startups, freelancers, entrepreneurs, potential customers, influencers, and multipliers. Workspaces can also be rented to teams. The co-working spaces are intended to act as miniature business development, innovation management, and incubators all at once.
These spaces offer workplaces at around 320 meters-squared that can be rented on a daily, weekly, or monthly basis. As well, the space offers a living room with kitchen as a meeting point, internet access, a printer and copier. The space includes access to a postal and domicile address, lockers, and even company logos in spaces for identification.
Similar to the co-working spaces, Hirschengraben Coworking + Innovation offers room rentals for companies or small teams to meet. These include three different rooms, with the Room LAB, which is capable of housing up to twenty-five people and can be adjusted or arranged in a theater style for larger meetings; the Outbreak Room, which is capable of housing up to eight people and is intended to be a space offering a creative space with walls and tables that can be written on; and the Big Lab room, which is capable of housing thirty-five people and is the connection of the two previous rooms.
Hirschengraben Coworking + Innovation also offers what the company says is the first Swiss capsule hotel and is considered an integral part of the co-working space. The Capsule Hotel is capable of housing sixteen guests overnight and is a seven minute walk from Lucerne's train station. The hotel offers sanitary facilities and a living room with a kitchen for shared use. This is intended to be an affordable space for sleeping for digital nomads.
