“Brest handball club named after A.P. Meshkov” was founded in 2002 in memory of the honored coach of the Republic of Belarus, the founder of handball in the Brest region Anatoly Petrovich Meshkov.
In 2020, on the anniversary of the death of Adelaida Konstantinovna Meshkova, the club was renamed BGK Meshkov Brest and now bears the name of not only Anatoly Petrovich, but also his wife, who for 17 years was the permanent manager of the club.
HC Meshkov Brest is a handball club from Brest, Belarus. They currently compete in the Belarusian First League of Handball, in the SEHA League and competed in the EHF Champions League.
The club is named in honor of Anatol Piatrovich Myashkow (Meshkov), promoter of handball in Belarus and sports enthusiast.[1]
