Georgy Grechko

Georgy Grechko was born on May 25, 1931, in Saint Petersburg and passed away in Moscow on April 8, 2017 . He held citizenship in the Soviet Union and Russia . Grechko was an engineer, astronaut, writer, and television presenter during his lifetime . He received his education at the Baltic State Technical University .

Throughout his career, Georgy Grechko was honored with several awards, including Hero of the Soviet Union, Pilot-Cosmonaut of the USSR, Order of Lenin, Medal "For Merit in Space Exploration", Medal "For Distinguished Labour", Jubilee Medal "In Commemoration of the 100th Anniversary of the Birth of Vladimir Ilyich Lenin", and Medal "For the Development of Virgin Lands" .
