FoodMarble

FoodMarble is a Dublin-based wellness technology company that has developed a hardware device that acts as a personal digestive tracker. The company's hardware works in conjunction with its software, which is available via download as a mobile application for both Android and iOS devices.

The company's product, called AIRE, is a portable hydrogen breath test device that connects to the company's mobile application. Users can breath into the device after they have eaten food and the level of hydrogen they are exhaling is measured. Hydrogen is produced when food is not properly broken down in the small intestine, thus causing digestive issues. The results of each breath test are recorded on the FoodMarble app and users can view their hydrogen levels in the form of a graph and track those levels daily. Symptoms can also be recorded and the app has a feature to record sleep and stress levels as well.

There is an additional option available for individuals wishing to track fermentable oligo-, dimono-saccharides and polyols, or FODMAPs. Users can test their responses to FODMAPS such as lactose, fructose, sorbitol and inulin and track their results.
