European Founders Fund

European Founders Fund was a venture capital fund headquartered in Munich, Germany. It was founded in 2005 by three brothers, Alexander, Marc and Oliver Samwer. The firm makes seed, early and late stage capital investments in technology companies located in Europe, the United States, and China. The firm has invested in the internet, social media, software, and wireless technology sectors. The company stopped making new investments in 2014. The company was rebranded as Global Founders Capital after raising as €150 million fund in 2013.

The three Samwer brothers have since founded Rocket Internet, a Berlin-based startup incubator that was once heavily associated with European Founders Fund.
