American chemist
Donald J. Cram (April 22, 1919 – June 17, 2001) was an American chemist who was awarded the 1987 Nobel Prize in Chemistry. Cram was born in Chester, Vermont and held citizenship in the United States. He passed away in Palm Desert, California.
Cram received his education at several institutions, including Rollins College, the University of Nebraska–Lincoln, and Harvard University. Louis Fieser, Cram's doctoral advisor, guided him at Harvard. Throughout his career, Cram focused on chemistry as his area of expertise and contributed significantly to the field.
