Cofounders Capital

Cofounders Capital is a seed stage venture capital firm and accelerator headquartered in Cary, North Carolina. The firm focuses on providing early-stage capital to NC Triangle based business-to-business enterprise software companies.

The firm was co-founded in 2015 by David Gardner and Tim McLoughlin. The Cofounder's first fund was valued at $12 million. The companies second fund closed in 2018 and was valued after the close at $31 million. The fund partners with Hatcher+ in order to be able to provide $35,000 to eight to ten NC Triangle entrepreneurs a year. In 2015, the fund partnered with the Town of Cary to provide free work space to area entrepreneurs.
