Cleanlab

Cleanlab is a company developing data-centric AI algorithms and interfaces to help companies improve the quality of their datasets. The company releases public open-source software and enterprise SaaS products with interfaces for data scientists and engineers to produce machine learning models. Based in Boston, Cleanlab was founded in October 2021 by three scientists at MIT Curtis Northcutt (CEO), Jonas Mueller (chief scientist), and Anish Athalye (CTO). While completing his Ph.D. at MIT, Northcutt developed "confident learning," a tool for automatically finding and fixing label issues in datasets. The algorithms from confident learning would go on to become the foundation of Cleanlab.
