China Aerospace Science and Industry Corporation

China Aerospace Science and Industry Corporation (CASIC) is a state-owned enterprise operating in the aerospace industry, including the development and manufacturing of spacecraft, launch vehicles, strategic and tactical missile systems, and ground equipment. CASIC owns and operates nineteen national laboratories or engineering technology centers, and twenty-eight science and technology innovation platforms. The company also owns twenty-two subsidiary companies and holds shares in nine listed companies, with offices in Asia, Europe, Africa, and Latin America.

CASIC works in strategic industries, such as the aerospace defense industry, with research and development and production services for air-defense missile weapon systems, cruise missile systems, and ballistic missile weapon systems. This includes solid launch vehicles and space technology products. The company makes weapon and strategic systems for an overall competence of operation in land, sea, and air battles in complicated battlefield circumstances and offers systems to give battlefield commanders the opportunities for strategic advantages for being able to win a battle.

CASIC has also worked to develop the commercial aerospace industry in China. This includes the launch of commercial aerospace project plans and the implementation of major commercial aerospace projects, including:

CASIC offers products and services for the Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT), including the company's Industrial Intelligent Cloud system (INDICS), which offers coordinated cloud manufacturing capabilities for enterprises. As well, INDICS is intended to offer cloud and IIoT services to the medical, entrepreneur, intellectual, science and technology, consulting, and credit investigation industries, and to help those industries develop specialized services and products.

CASIC is also working on developing products and solutions for the development of smart industries in China. This includes the construction of the social Overall Academy and General Department for the smart industry and the cultivation of nineteen application areas, to build and open and shared smart industry ecosystem.
