Central Philippine University (CPU) is a private educational institution located in Iloilo City, Philippines. It was founded in 1905 and belongs to the industries of education, higher education, and university. The university's motto is "Scientia et Fides".
CPU has several subsidiaries, including the Central Philippine University Library, Central Philippine University College of Law, College of Nursing and Allied Health Sciences, College of Medicine, College of Theology, and College of Engineering. Moreover, it houses the Central Philippine University Bahandi Singers, Central Philippine University Republic, and Central Philippine University Symphonic Band.
Central Philippine University is accredited by several organizations including the Philippine Accrediting Association of Schools, Colleges and Universities (PAASCU), the Association for Theological Education in South East Asia (ATESEA), and the Commission on Higher Education of the Philippines (CHED). It is also a member of the Association of Christian Universities and Colleges in Asia. The university is situated in the Western Visayas region of the Philippines.
