Calyxt is a publicly traded, consumer-centric, food- and agriculture-focused company based in Roseville, Minnesota. it is a wholly owned subsidiary of Cellectis. Calyxt focuses on combining gene-editing technology and technical expertise with its commercial strategy to deliver healthier food ingredients such as healthier oils and high fiber wheat, for consumers and agriculturally advantagous crop traits, such as as herbicide tolerance for farmers.

Calyxt's proprietary customized gene editing technology, TALEN, is used by the company to create valuable traits through precise modification of plant genomes. Its pipeline has both consumer centric products as well as those that are farmer centric.
