The Budapest University of Technology and Economics (BME) , also known as Budapesti Muszaki és Gazdaságtudományi Egyetem or Budapesti Muszaki és Gazdasagtudomasyi Egyetem , is a public university located in Budapest, Hungary. It was founded in 1782 by Joseph II, Holy Roman Emperor and is accredited by the Hungarian Accreditation Committee .
