BRAD BIRD
PHILLIP BRADLEY BIRD
American animation director, animation artist, screenwriter, producer, and voice actor.
He was born on September 24, 1957, in Kalispell (Montana, USA).
At 11 years old with his parents visited Disneyland theme park and lit the dream of becoming an animator. In two years he finished his own animated short film, which he sent to Disney. The company supported the young artist, giving him an internship and then a scholarship to study at the California Institute of Arts.
After graduation, he worked as an animator on such projects as Donkey (1978) and Fox and the Dog (1981), but was soon fired for criticizing management.
In 1990 he made his directorial debut as one of the episodes of the popular series The Simpsons (1989-2021).
He is best known for his work on such iconic animated films as Supergirl (2004) and Ratatouille (2007), each of which won Oscar and BAFTA awards.
