Blockchain Association of the Cayman Islands (BACI) is a nonprofit organization that promotes blockchain and cryptocurrency involvement in the Cayman Islands. The George Town, Grand Cayman-based organization was founded in 2019. Hash Consulting cofounder and owner Petri Basson serves as BACI's chairman of the board.
BACI promotes blockchain involvement in the Cayman Islands by touting the territory's tax neutral environment, proximity to United States timezones, and ease with which companies can establish themselves and do business. The BACI offers corporate membership to businesses that would like to be involved. Membership comes in three tiers: Industry leader, Industry participant, and Blockchain company. Membership to the BACI entitles corporations to have video interviews and articles displayed on BACI's website, read monthly articles from the BACI, and participate in government consultations.
