Moslehi is a graduate of Arya-Mehr University of Technology. He attended from 1973-1978 and received a bachelor of science in electrical engineering. He proceeded to attend Stanford University, where he received three degrees over the course of eight years. From 1978 to 1980, he earned a master of science in electrical engineering. From 1980 to 1984, he studied applied physics, for which he also received a master of science. At the same time, from 1980 to 1985, he was in a Ph.D. program for electrical engineering.
Opterro was founded by Moslehi and Mehrdad Moslehi in 2019. Based in Silicon Valley, Opterro provides end-to-end fiber-optic sensing solutions for a range of applications, including defense, manufacturing, renewable energy, research and development, and aerospace. Opterro is a sister company with IFOS.
IFOS was founded in 1999. Moslehi serves as the company's CEO and CTO. He is a leader in its research and development efforts for innovative advanced photonic sensing and signal processing system products. He also helped commercialize pioneering fiber optic gyroscopes (FOG) and sensor arrays at Litton Systems (now Northrop Grumman).
