The QIWI brand appeared in Russia on April 22, 2008. This event was an important turning point not only for our Group, but for the entire payment services market. From a payment system focused on interaction with partners, we have grown into a multifunctional user service. QIWI has new principles and standards for working with our users.
The QIWI brand is an "umbrella" one for a number of our areas: terminals, electronic wallets, banks, and advertising. Our payment instruments are high-tech, but with simple user-friendly functionality. Therefore, our brand is as friendly and recognizable as possible, symbolizing simplicity and inspiring confidence. A cartoon New Zealand bird, an assistant to users when making payments, has become the character of the brand.
QIWI is ready to provide everyone with a convenient and affordable tool for making any regular and necessary payments to state organizations, housing and communal enterprises, mobile operators, banks, online stores, money transfer systems. QIWI became the first payment service, together with the international payment system VISA, to issue virtual cards that allow you to make purchases on the Internet. We also provide our users with the opportunity to order a plastic QIWI Card, the account of which is a QIWI Wallet account, and you can pay for purchases with it both in the virtual and in the real world.
