Digitalswitzerland was founded by Marc WalderMarc Walder (CEO of the Ringier Group) in September 2015 as DigitalZurich2025, with a committee of fifteen members aiming to position the greater Zurich as an attractive location for digital startups, organizations, and talent. In September 2016 the initiative's mission expanded to serve the whole of Switzerland and make the country a leading digital hub.
