Japanese video game designer
Yu Suzuki was born on October 6, 1958 in Kamaishi, Iwate, Japan. He holds Japanese citizenship and is known for his work as a video game producer and computer scientist. Suzuki graduated from Okayama University of Science.
Suzuki's contributions to the video gaming industry include founding Sega AM2, a prominent video game development company. He is recognized for creating the Shenmue series, consisting of Shenmue, Shenmue II, and Shenmue III.
In acknowledgement of his work, Suzuki has received the prestigious Academy of Interactive Arts and Sciences' Hall of Fame award. He is also known by the alias すずき ゆう.
