Wreckfest is described as the spiritual successor to the FlatOut series and a cross between FlatOut, Destruction Derby and cult 1989 PC racer Street Rod.
Expect epic crashes, neck-to-neck fights over the finish line and brand-new ways for metal to bend – These are the once-in-a-lifetime moments that can only be achieved in Wreckfest, with its true-to-life physics simulation crafted by legendary developer Bugbear, who also brought you FlatOut 1, 2 and Ultimate Carnage. Burn rubber and shred metal in the ultimate driving playground!
“As Wreckfest is all about the madness of colliding cars at breakneck speeds, a term describing the glory of tearing metal is nothing if not apt,” wrote designer Jori Virtanen.
Awesome Cars – Old, banged-up, patched-together cars that simply ooze style! From old American heavy-hitters to agile Europeans and fun Asians, you won’t find anything like this in other games.
Meaningful Customization – Change not only the look of your cars but also upgrade their body armor.
Multiplayer – Wreck your friends online and take racing to the limit while chasing for demolition dominance!

Firstly, the first race of the game has already put me with small gardening machines on a huge square field with the sole purpose: to destroy at least one opponent. This premise has already won me over and prompted me to stay in the game. Even regular races in the game have the ability to destroy other racers.
Wreckfest gives us the opportunity to play a more simulation game where we can shift gears and everything is more specific, or if you prefer a dynamic game, you can make the game as arcade as possible, just to run and destroy. I tried both ways and both made the game really fun.
Another story is about special cars, from heavy double-decker cars and school buses with tilt-over to a huge combine harvester with characteristic rear-wheel steering. The trailer is probably my favorite, because despite its relatively light weight and power, it likes to be hit sideways in ridiculous turns. There's also a motorized sofa that handles a lot better than I expected (but it could probably be done with some wheel arches).
There are significant differences in the grip of dirt or gravel with asphalt, but with the well-adjusted sense of weight and friction of Wreckfest, the overall handling is impressive.
The variety of things you can do in the game is incredible. Several things are possible, for example, racing a three-wheeled car against twenty school buses to be the first, or running with a lawn mower in search of the best place, or the most fun and unusual, driving a motorized sofa, trying to destroy another. sofas.
The game has a score format that you earn when you complete each chain by completing all your specific tasks, and also win first.
There are some great visual tweaks and color options available, although Wreckfest definitely requires some kind of rudimentary ink editor in which we can draw our own numbers and messages. Performance tuning is also included, but it's a little disappointing that Bugbear has decided to use the Forza and Need for Speed approach with clean, sterile update menus that contradict the dirty spirit of the dump we're swimming in anywhere else.
In any case, Wreckfest is a necessary return of serious and high-quality destruction racing, and in this genre with a small number of titles, he is the king of the play. A small spark flies out on the track, but in the middle of it is one of the craziest entertainment that you can get on all four wheels. I play many more serious racing games, but sometimes it's useful to throw the rulebook out the window and roll around on a dirty track.
