W. H. Auden

W. H. Auden, born February 21, 1907, in York, was a poet, screenwriter, playwright, writer, composer, and author. He held citizenship in both the United Kingdom and the United States. Auden was educated at Christ Church, Oxford, University of Oxford, St Edmund's School, Hindhead, and Gresham's School. He specialized in lyric poetry throughout his career as a writer.

Auden was the son of George Augustus Auden. He often used the pseudonym W. H. Auden in his work. He passed away on September 29, 1973, in Vienna.
