The company includes three pig farms, a feed elevator and two meat processing plants. The company employs 1,500 people.
Vostochny Ltd. ranks 25th in the Russian pork production rating. It produces more than 40 thousand tons of pork per year (in live weight), produces more than 15 thousand tons of finished meat products.
The company's brand is known not only in Udmurtia. The company's products are successfully sold in 35 regions of Russia, including abroad.
"Vostochny" is a large employer and taxpayer of Udmurtia, the only enterprise in Udmurtia which works with raw materials of its own production, which means the consumer always receives only fresh and high quality product according to GOST
The history of OOO "Vostochny" dates back to 1982, when the cutting of 100 hectares of forest for the construction of the complex began. The necessity to create the pig farm "Vostochny" arose due to the insufficient supply of meat products to the population of the Udmurt Republic in the early 70-s of the XX century.
Company history
The first stage of breeding farm construction was finished in October 1986, symbolically on the eve of the professional holiday of the Day of agricultural and processing industry workers. Within four years were built ten more buildings and increased the number of pigs. At the same time in the village of Italmas there was the construction of apartment buildings for employees of the state farm, a school and a kindergarten.
In 1992, in order to process unsold meat at the plant began construction of a canning and sausage shop. Thus, the famous brand of meat processing plant "Vostochny" was born. In just one year the enterprise set up production of preserves and sausages quickly popularized by consumers. Products had the highest demand, so in 2003 a department of ready-made sausages appeared in the state farm "Vostochny", and later - its own trade network.
In 1999 due to the economic crisis the enterprise fell into bankruptcy proceedings. In 2000 under the decision of the court of arbitration external administration was introduced in order to remove from the crisis the main producer of pork meat in the Udmurt Republic. The result of the anti-crisis procedure was the creation of Open Joint Stock Company "Vostochny" on the basis of the property of the State Unitary Enterprise "Vostochny".
From 2002 to 2008 on initiative of regional authorities there was active joining of bankrupt agricultural enterprises to Vostochny. Thus, Kiyasovsky, Tuklinsky pig farms, Babino pig farm, as well as Yazhbakhtinsky, Kiyasovsky, Babinsky agrocomplexes, a feed elevator in Mozhga, and Sarapul meat processing plant based on the property of Kigbaevsky Bacon pig farm, which will also later become part of the enterprise, were included in the company.
In 2008 the company became part of the agro-industrial holding KOMOS GROUP which it still successfully operates under. KOMOS GROUP LLC united the leading processing enterprises of the republic, multimillion investments into reconstruction and modernization of production began, so that Udmurtia residents could be provided with their own high-quality food products
Quality
The company has developed and implemented a product quality and food safety management system in accordance with the requirements of GOST R ISO 22000, based on the principles of HACCP (certificate of compliance No.NACC RU.019.C.0070 dated 16.02.2018);
In order to ensure the quality and safety of products, the quality department of Vostochny LLC includes three laboratories: production and veterinary control department of Sarapul meat processing plant, production and veterinary control department of Vostochny meat processing plant, production and technical laboratory of Mozhginsky elevator. The production and veterinary control departments of meat processing plants are licensed to work with pathogenic microorganisms of pathogenicity groups 2-4, the chemical laboratory is certified by FBI "Udmurt CSM".
To maintain a high level of confidence in the products on the part of buyers specialists of the quality department of LLC "Vostochny" carry out:
- audits of raw material suppliers;
- incoming inspection of purchased raw stuff and materials;
- control of products in the production process;
- control of finished goods;
- control of products in the process of storage;
- audits of the food products safety management system;
- Control of sanitary condition of production facilities;
