Vladimir Sorokin

Vladimir Sorokin, born on August 7, 1955, is a Russian writer, playwright, screenwriter, painter, and librettist. A citizen of both Soviet Union and Russia, Sorokin is a noteworthy figure in the literary world with several published works.

Sorokin was born in Bykovo, Ramensky District, Moscow Oblast and educated at the Gubkin Russian State University of Oil and Gas. Currently, he resides in both Berlin and Moscow.
