The method includes storing the content items on local storage on the mobile device. The method includes determining available local storage capacity of the mobile device. The method includes uploading content items to secondary storage, and selecting content items to remove from the local storage or add to the local storage based on predetermined criteria, for example, when the available local storage capacity meets a threshold available local storage capacity.
