Investment Fund attributes
TxO Fund, or The Talent x Opportunity Fund, is a program designed for entrepreneurs that have talent, drive, and ideas to build businesses but generally lack resources or the background to build a business. The fund was started by Nait Jones in 2020, in Silicon Valley.
For the first year of operations, the fund is looking to invest in and train a small group, and then focus on expansion. They are searching for entrepreneurs that don't have access to major resources, but have business potentials. The fund looks to invest in exchange for equity in the business, and 100% of the investment returns will be used to fund and finance future entrepreneurs.
The fund begins with $2.2 million in donations from the partners of Andreessen Horowitz, and is a Donor Advisory Fund managed by Tides to provide tax benefits for the donor. The fund and program aims to fill a gap between the cultural leaders who have succeeded, and those who have yet to accomplish their business goals.
The Talent x Opportunity Fund looks to figure out prototyping models, plan atraining program for pre-seed, and research founders in Silicon Valley.
