"Tokyo Cement Company (Lanka) PLC" is a Sri Lankan cement manufacturing company headquartered in Colombo. The company is engaged in manufacturing Portland cement, Pozzolana cement, tile adhesives and other cement products.
Company was established in 1982, as a joint venture between Japan’s Mitsui Mining Co (Later absorbed by Nippon Coke & Engineering Company) and Sri Lanka’s St. Anthony’s Consolidated, under the visionary leadership of Founder Chairman, late Deshamanya A.Y.S. Gnanam. Listed on the Colombo Stock Exchange in 1984 as the first privately owned cement manufacturer, the company has made an indelible mark in transforming the country’s construction industry.
