The Republic of Mordovia

The population is more than 700 thousand people, the capital is Saransk (more than 310 thousand people). Official languages: Russian and Mordovian (Erzya and Moksha) languages. The time zone is Moscow Time, the offset relative to UTC is +3:00. It is part of the Volga Federal District, is part of the Volga-Vyatka Economic District. It was formed on July 16, 1928 as the Mordovian District. On January 10, 1930, the district was transformed into the Mordovian Autonomous Region. Republic since 1934.
