The Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Republic of Mordovia (hereinafter - the Ministry) is the executive body of state power of the Republic of Mordovia, performing the functions of implementing state policy and legal regulation in the field of the agro-industrial complex (within the powers granted), carrying out state registration of self-propelled machines and other types of equipment, attractions and regional state supervision in the field of technical condition and operation of self-propelled machines and other types of equipment, attractions.
The Ministry is the executive body of state power of the Republic of Mordovia authorized in the field of veterinary medicine, exercising regional state control (supervision) in the field of animal treatment.
The Ministry carries out planning the use of agricultural land, supporting agricultural production in the field of livestock breeding, seed production of agricultural plants, reproduction of the fertility of agricultural land, land reclamation, the formation of a market for agricultural products, the development of agricultural enterprises, personal subsidiary, peasant (farmer) farms, and other agricultural producers in the Republic of Mordovia.
The Ministry in its activities is guided by the Constitution of the Russian Federation, federal constitutional laws, federal laws, decrees and orders of the President of the Russian Federation, decrees and orders of the Government of the Russian Federation, the Constitution of the Republic of Mordovia, laws of the Republic of Mordovia, decrees and orders of the Head of the Republic of Mordovia, decrees and orders Government of the Republic of Mordovia, as well as these Regulations.
The Ministry carries out its activities in cooperation with federal executive authorities, executive authorities of the Republic of Mordovia, local governments, as well as public associations and other organizations within the established competence.
Financing of expenses for the maintenance of the Ministry is carried out at the expense of the republican budget of the Republic of Mordovia.
The property of the Ministry is the state property of the Republic of Mordovia and is assigned to it on the basis of the right of operational management.
