The Allied Space Accelerator is a virtual program run through Techstars and led by Managing Director Jonathan Fentzke. The program is run in partnership with the U.S. Air Force, the Netherlands Ministry of Defence, the Norwegian Ministry of Defence, and the Norwegian Space Agency.
The focus of the remote 13 week program is on startups operating in the commercial space industry and the development of space technologies. As part of their partnership, the program includes three separate one-week visits on-site at the program's government agency sponsors to supplement the virtual mentorship and guidance. These partnerships are also hoped to give the participants in the program real problems in need of non-traditional solutions as well as a network of support.
The inaugural Allied Space Accelerator class took place in 2020.
