Tabular is a California-based software company with a data platform built around Apache Iceberg. The platform can perform data-related tasks, such as compaction, clustering, configuring, and indexing. The company was founded in 2021 and has the backing of investors such as Andreessen Horowitz.

Tabular is a software as a service and is cloud-native. It acts as both an automation platform and a data warehouse and is capable of data retention, maintenance, and cleanup for users of the platform. Intended users are professionals, such as analysts, engineers, and scientists. Users can create an IAM role during setup so Tabular can access their data. It runs in a separate AWS account, and every time the account is accessed, it is documented and available to be inspected by the user. Tabular is built on Apache Iceberg and can connect to query engines such as Athena, Starburst Galaxy, Snowflake, Trino, and Apache Spark. It is also built on open standards, which provides security for the data while making it easily accessible for users.
